About me

I'm Jose Alonzo (pepemxl), a software engineer based in Mexico. My work centers on the less glamorous but critical parts of large systems: observability for distributed services, and the ongoing maintenance of Python platforms and their dependencies inside large monorepos.

Lately I've also been exploring how large language models can be applied to real engineering workflows, and I write up what I learn along the way in Learnings.
